Control Strategy for Line Overload and Short Circuit Current of Networked Distribution Systems

The expected increase in renewable energy sources (RESs) and electric vehicles (EVs) connected to distribution systems will result many technical constraints. A meshed network is a promising solution; however, some remarkable challenges must be overcome. Among these, this paper mainly focuses on the line overload short circuit current of networked system (NDS) Korea, an advanced form network. An NDS refers which there exists permanent linkages between four feeders N × communication-based protection. We propose method, employs tap changing control algorithm series reactor current. MATLAB/Simulink was used evaluate proposed method. Three different types were employed. First, utilization rate feeder imbalance analyzed steady-state condition. Subsequently, results revealed that method can effectively prevent up 82.7% cases, enhance by 79.9%, relieve current; is, it contribute stability economic operation NDS.
